“Taylor Swift is the only woman in music history to release three #1 albums in a row, each selling more than five million copies, a milestone achieved only by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Michael Jackson. She’s written every song on all of her albums and has world-wide record sales of more than 22 million albums and 50 million song downloads. She’s won six Grammy Awards and is the youngest winner in the history of the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.”
Frickin’ amazing!
When Jack sneaks onto the first-class deck in search of Rose, we see a young boy playing with a top as his father looks on. The father is played by Titanic historian Don Lynch, of the Titanic Historical Society, who served as a consultant on the film. The scene is based on a famous photograph taken aboard Titanic. The boy, 6-year-old Robert Douglas Spedden and his father Frederic O. Spedden survived the sinking, but the boy died three years later in an auto accident in Maine, one of the first recorded in the state.
100 years ago today… the sinking of the Titanic.
